NOGA September 2026 Meeting and July Summer Social Recap

The Northwest Ohio Gerontological Association enjoyed a wonderful summer gathering with Connextions at Brookwood Metropark in July. Members of both organizations came together for an evening of food, networking, raffle basket giveaways, and meaningful conversation.

Events like this reflect the strong network of professionals throughout Northwest Ohio who are committed to serving older adults and supporting one another. NOGA extends its appreciation to the event sponsors and everyone who attended and helped make the evening a success.

NOGA Will Not Meet in August

NOGA will take its annual summer break during August, so there will be no monthly networking and program meeting.

Members are encouraged to enjoy the remainder of the summer and plan to join NOGA again in September.

NOGA September 2026 Meeting: Fall Prevention

NOGA’s September 2026 Monthly Networking and Program Meeting will focus on Fall Prevention, an important topic for professionals who serve older adults.

The program will be presented by Stephanie Calmes, Ph.D., LPCC-S, LICDC-CS, Administrative Director of Psychiatry at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Dr. Calmes has more than 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She oversees inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programming at UTMC, including psychiatric hospitalization units, detoxification services, medication management, therapy services, and substance use disorder treatment.
