Upcoming Events with the Northwest Ohio Gerontological Association (NOGA)
The Northwest Ohio Gerontological Association has a full schedule of engaging and informative events planned through the remainder of 2025. Each gathering offers valuable opportunities to expand professional knowledge, foster community partnerships, and support initiatives that benefit older adults in our region.

September 2025 – Stroke Awareness and Rehabilitation
Date: Thursday, September 4
Location: Manor at Perrysburg
Presenters will include Cindy Roshon, Barbara Mullholand, and a stroke survivor from the Stroke Life Center. The program will highlight survivor experiences and current practices in stroke recovery. Manor at Perrysburg will host and provide refreshments.
October 2025 – Financial Independence
Date: Thursday, October 2 "Benefit Bridge-Helping Individuals and Families Crossover to Financial Independence". Presented by Lisa Doughten, Program Manager Harbor Behavioral Health
Location: Lakes of Monclova
Lakes of Sylvania will provide food and beverages.
November 2025 – Community Health Engagement Strategies
Date: Thursday, November 6
Location: BG Manor-Dining Room
Teri Laurer and Christine Brown from Wood County Hospital will speak on the community health program and how strategic engagement improves access and outcomes for aging populations. Refreshments will be provided by BG Manor.
December 2025 – End-of-Year Networking Social
Date: Wednesday December 3rd-Time and more information to come but please save the date!
Location: The Casual Pint
NOGA will conclude the year with a joint holiday gathering alongside Connextions. The event will focus on networking, community building, and fundraising through raffles. There will be no formal presentation.
