Senior Care Events in Northwest Ohio: NOGA’s Upcoming Networking & Education Schedule

The Northwest Ohio Gerontological Association has a full schedule of engaging and informative events planned through the remainder of 2025. Each gathering offers valuable opportunities to expand professional knowledge, foster community partnerships, and support initiatives that benefit older adults in our region.

NOGA invites you to attend our 2025 lineup of senior care events in Northwest Ohio!

August 2025: There will be no monthly membership meeting in August.

September 2025 – Stroke Awareness and Rehabilitation

Date: Thursday, September 4

Location: Manor at Perrysburg

Presenters will include Cindy Roshon, Barbara Mullholand, and a stroke survivor from the Stroke Life Center. The program will highlight survivor experiences and current practices in stroke recovery. Manor at Perrysburg will host and provide refreshments.

October 2025 – Emotional Intelligence in Hospice and Senior Care

Date: Thursday, October 2

Location: Lakes of Sylvania

Sara Chambers from Hospice of Northwest Ohio will present on emotional intelligence and its role in elder care. Her insights will help attendees strengthen interpersonal awareness and communication in professional settings. Lakes of Sylvania will provide food and beverages.

November 2025 – Community Health Engagement Strategies

Date: Thursday, November 6

Location: BG Manor

Teresa Siwajek, CHW, OTA/L with Wood County Hospital, will speak on her work as a community health worker and how strategic engagement improves access and outcomes for aging populations. Refreshments will be provided by BG Manor.

December 2025 – End-of-Year Networking Social

Date: To be determined

Location: To be determined

NOGA will conclude the year with a joint holiday gathering alongside Connextions. The event will focus on networking, community building, and fundraising through raffles. There will be no formal presentation.
